Description:

Bogia monitoring outstation is situated on the mailand of Madang about 45km west of Manam volcano. One seismic station is installed at the Bogia outstation and the other is on the foot of the volcano at the old Tabele catholic mission station. Monitoring data from the 2 seismic stations are continuously relayed back to RVO for further work. Visual observation reports are usually given daily by an observer stationed near the site.
