Description:

The seismic sensor is located near the volcano with data transmitted to the Kimbe monitoring outstation via radio telemetry. 12 volt computer systems support the operation of each instrument. Seismic data from the site are continuously relayed back to RVO via digicel cellular internet for further work for further work. Visual observation reports are usually given daily by an observer stationed near the site.
